"It’s time to get off the beaten path and discover more good times with the new RAV4 Adventure grade. Hearty 18-in. 5-spoke Black alloy wheels, larger overfender flares and durable rocker panel guards all come standard, ready to help you take on any trip."
Greenvale, Valley Stream, Long Island, Bayside, and Westbury New York is an area where small sports utility vehicles thrive, and no two SUVs are quite as special as the Toyota Rav4 and Subaru Forester. With similar price ranges and space, they both have a lot to offer customers. For our preferences, though, the RAV4 manages to edge out the Forester in a number of critical areas. It's our conviction that NY residents in the Greenvale area especially will appreciate the many innovative additions and changes to the RAV4 in 2018. As the motto goes, the RAV4 is "the right choice for any adventure." Here's why.
The two-tone color schemes available for the RAV4 sets it apart from the Forester which comes with a more limited range of color options. Granted, you can always customize a vehicle, but if you want something beautiful straight out of the box, the RAV4 is above and beyond anything you'll get with the Forester's standard colors. With lush color schemes like S-CODE ELECTRIC STORM BLUE, S-CODE SUPER WHITE, and S-CODE BLACK, they've added every trim imaginable for a customized, distinctive look. Trims include LE, XLE, LE Hybrid, XLE Hybrid, and the impressive Adventure that is certain to be a fan favorite. The Forester also has some appealing color schemes, like Jasmine Green Metallic and Sepia Bronze Metallic, but the options are lacking in comparison to the RAV4.
The RAV4 engine packs quite a punch compared to what the Forester offers. With Toyota, you get 176 horsepower standard, compared to the 170 offered by the Subaru Forester. The RAV can go 0 to 60 in only 8.4 seconds, compared to the relatively slower time of 9 seconds for the Forester. Greenvale New York residents love their power, and the RAV certainly did as much as they could to give it to you this year. Toyota did a great job of blending power with precision.
NY loves a great interior in an SUV, so Toyota made a serious push to add more luxury options in their interior for the RAV 4. Premium features include a leather-strapped steering wheel, power adjustable front seats with heating, power moonroof, and and integrated navigation. Expect a quiet cabin ride as well. The Forester certainly doesn't skimp on interior details, but nothing quite compares to the new RAV4 interior. NY residents will love it
Subaru has a lot of safety features for the Forester, so we're not faulting them here. They added in EyeSight Driver Assisted technology to give you a more premium safety experience. This includes features like pre-collision and responsive headlights, they managed to be a Top Safety Pick, so there's nothing lacking in the Forester's safety system. But the Toyota RAV4 certainly has its own advantages. With Toyota Sense Technology, they've given you standard features that you don't have to pay extra for. Expect things like Lane Keep Assist, Steering Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, to name just a few of the advanced safety features in this vehicle. You'll love what you get in both vehicles, and if there's anywhere they're about even, it's safety.
STARLINK Multimedia is the hallmark of the connectivity technology in the Forester, and we're impressed with it, but the RAV just goes a bit further on technology. We love the Entune Premium Audio, Integrated navigation along with your entertainment, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with SIRI Eyes Free, so Apple owners will definitely want to go with the Toyota model here. All in all, it's a great entertainment experience.
The Toyota difference.
